ABOUT HSOS™
BUILT FROM EXPERIENCE.
DESIGNED FOR WHAT SECURITY NEEDS NEXT.
HSOS™ was developed from decades of experience across law enforcement and private-sector security leadership, with a simple objective: create a more structured way to govern, manage and improve hospitality security.
THE IDEA BEGAN WITH A SIMPLE OBSERVATION.
Security organizations can have dedicated professionals, policies, procedures, training programs and technology—and still struggle to connect those pieces into one coherent security function.
Experience across law enforcement and private-sector security leadership revealed a recurring need for something beyond daily security activity: a framework that establishes direction, accountability, risk awareness, operational standards and leadership oversight.
SURROUNDING
SECURITY
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SECURITY IS TREATED AS A COLLECTION OF ACTIVITIES INSTEAD OF AN ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEM?
The answer is not always visible in an incident report. It can appear in inconsistent procedures, unclear accountability, disconnected training, undocumented deficiencies, ineffective oversight or decisions made without a complete picture of risk.
SECURITY REQUIRES MORE THAN SECURITY PERSONNEL.
People remain at the center of security. But people perform more effectively when the organization surrounding them provides clear direction, appropriate resources, defined expectations and meaningful oversight.
Direction
Security should operate according to clearly established organizational priorities and expectations.
Accountability
Responsibilities should be understood at leadership, management and operational levels.
Risk Awareness
Security priorities should reflect the organization's actual risks and operating environment.
Standards
Policies, procedures, training and operational expectations should work together.
Measurement
Leadership needs meaningful information about security performance—not simply a count of incidents.
Oversight
Identified deficiencies should lead to documented decisions, corrective action and continued review.

MJG Consulting Group LLC
Michael J. Gugliotti brings more than 25 years of law enforcement experience and more than 15 years of private-sector security leadership experience to the development of HSOS™.
His career includes service as a police officer, detective, supervisor and executive leader, culminating in service as Chief of Police. His transition into private-sector security leadership provided another perspective: the challenges organizations face when security responsibilities, operational expectations, resources and leadership accountability are not fully connected.
HSOS™ was developed from that experience and from the belief that security organizations need more than activity. They need structure, governance, accountability and a framework for continuous improvement.
GOVERNANCE BEFORE GUARDING™
Security works better when the system surrounding the people is as deliberate as the people performing the work.
HSOS™ was built to give hospitality organizations a structured way to connect leadership, risk management, security operations, accountability and continuous improvement.
